Arthur's Ashes - Reg Elliot
Arthur's Ashes follows
the story of one man and his dream of re-capturing
the Ashes away from the all conquering Aussies, something
that hasn't been done for many a year - ok until 2005
when it really did happen ! Arthur, dubbed as supercoach,
attempts to find six players he can mould into
super human cricketers at the same time breaking into
the England set up.
Full of ups and downs, comical moments and dramatic
twists, Arthur's Ashes will keep you on the edge of
your seat this summer. Can England regain the Ashes?,
will Wayne Horne the great Australian leg spinner
have something to say about it? Written in an uncomplicated
style, Elliot serves up a doosra of a book (that's
great !). The characters are colourful and include
a curry eating Indian, a huge nightclub bouncer and
a young lad still finding his way in the world.
