Arthur's Ashes - Reg Elliot
The book
costs £7.99 and carries a £1 postal charge. £5 will be donated
from every sale.
A
short while ago I wanted to find a way to donate to
a charity but couldn't think of the best way forward.
Following a conversation with Reg Elliot, we decided
to donate a large proportion of sales from his first
book, Arthur's Ashes.
The book costs £7.99
and carries a £1 postal charge. We have decided to donate
£5 from every sale to our chosen
charities, The Shane Warne Foundation for Children
in Need based in Victoria, Australia and Leukaemia
Research in the UK. We hope you support
these charities by buying what is a stunning first
book.
Arthur's Ashes follows
the story of one man and his dream of re-capturing
the Ashes away from the all conquering Aussies, something
that hasn't been done for many a year - ok until 2005
when it really did happen ! Arthur, dubbed as supercoach,
attempts to find six players he can mould into
super human cricketers at the same time breaking into
the England set up.
Full of ups and downs, comical moments and dramatic
twists, Arthur's Ashes will keep you on the edge of
your seat this summer. Can England regain the Ashes?,
will Wayne Horne the great Australian leg spinner
have something to say about it? Written in an uncomplicated
style, Elliot serves up a doosra of a book (that's
great !). The characters are colourful and include
a curry eating Indian, a huge nightclub bouncer and
a young lad still finding his way in the world.

Shane Warne Foundation
The
pure purpose of The Shane Warne Foundation is to work
for the benefit of children in need. To
achieve this mission, the foundation will be running
several events during the year to raise monies and
awareness for the organisations that work, hands on,
with the seriously ill and underprivileged children
in our communities.
Leukaemia Research
Leukaemia
Research is the only UK charity dedicated to research
into the prevention, treatment and cure of leukaemia
and all blood cancers . These cancers affect people
of all ages and sadly claim more young lives than
any other cancer. That's why Ian Botham, cricket legend
and Leukaemia Research President, is going all out
this October to help bowl out teenage cancer, as he
walks through 17 cities in 9 days. If you want to
sponsor Beefy or find out more please visit www.bothamwalk.com
