Henry
Donnan was another player who had a limitless supply
of patience, a right handed batsman who loved watching
the ball all the way onto his bat. He preferred the
cut shot and drive. Playing his way into the Test team,
he scored centuries against all the other Sheffield
Shield sides. He was unfortunately a poor fielder something
that went against him in selection. He toured England
in 1896 and made just over 1,000 runs in the first class
matches but performed poorly in the Test matches. |
