Kasprowicz is another Australian player
who has graced Sophia Gardens for Glamorgan in the
County Championships. He made his debut against the
West INdies in Brisbane in 1996 but failed to take
a wicket on debut. Kaspo
would have to wait until the summer of 1997 on his
ashes debut to secure his first international scalp
(Butcher for 8), the first of four wickets in England's
1st innings. England went on to win that match by
9 wickets. In the 6th Test of the series at Lord's,
Kaprowicz ripped through the England team securing
a return of 7 for 36 which to this day remains his
best ever bowling figures in Test cricket.
Following a two-year international
absence, made his return to the Australian team when
he was selected in the 14-man squad for the Travelex
One-Day International Tour of India, replacing the
injured Brett Lee. He would then wait a further three
years until he became a regular in the Australian
side, securing his contract with Cricket Australia.
Kasprowicz has spent the past four
seasons playing for UK county side Glamorgan.
