Ashes Tour 2006/7 - England Odds !

Freddie in doubt

ENGLAND 5/1 TO RETAIN ASHES Can Flintoff & Co Pull Off Another Shock?
In 2005, the English cricket team confounded expectations by winning the Ashes for the first time in 16 years. However, the task of retaining them on foreign soil looks incredibly tough and they've drifted to 5/1 with bet365 to do exactly that. The Australians are hotter favourites by the minute, now 2/9 to wrest back control of the tiny urn while the Draw is an 8/1 poke.

There's a wide range of Series and 1st Test Markets now available at bet365. In the outright markets, Freddie Flintoff can set a captain's example and finish Top England Batsman at 7/1. Although he's favourite to be Top England Bowler, the under-rated Matthew Hoggard could take the most wickets and is priced at 7/2.

The Aussies have a fearsome batting line-up and it's been wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist who has been well-backed at bet365, he's currently priced at 11/1. Captain Ricky Ponting is favourite to top score at 9/4 while Justin Langer is 4/1. As you'd expect, Shane Warne is the odds-on favourite to be Top Australian Bowler with Messrs Lee and McGrath priced at 9/4 and 4/1 respectively.

AUSSIES 4/9 FOR REPEAT FIRST TEST VICTORY

Will Lively Gabba Wicket Play Into Their Hands?

The Australians got off to a flyer in the First Test at Lords last year and are 4/9 with bet365 to go 1-0 up this time around. There's been plenty of support for the hosts at bet365 while England have been friendless at 13/2. The Draw is priced at 3/1 for those who think the teams will cancel each other out.

Australia are also 4/9 to command a 1st Innings lead (England 13/8), while bet365 have Top Batsman markets available for both teams in the Gabba Test Match. Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Strauss are joint favourites at 3/1 for England, while Paul Collingwood could be a spot of value at 13/2 to get the most runs.

It's a close call for Top Australia Bat with bet365 making Ricky Ponting the marginal 10/3 favourite ahead of 4/1 shots Langer and Hayden, while Martyn and Hussey are 5/1 with bet365.

bet365 are also offering a range of exciting Batsman Matches, including Strauss (5/6) v Langer (5/6), Cook (5/6) v Bell (5/6) and Ponting (8/11) v Pietersen (EVS).

Finally, be sure to visit bet365 when the 1st Test starts and you'll find a wide range of fantastic In-Play opportunities available. The bet365 In-Play console will show the odds as they update in real-time.
