Beach Cricket by Bill LinfordAs it’s Christmas I thought I’d try and find a suitable image for this time of year and to warm all the readers on this dark winter’s day – well in the UK it is anyway ! Ok so I know I don’t have to bother with my cricket loving Aussies because it was a lovely warm day in Melbourne today at the MCG as Australia turned the screw against India with a 498 run lead. One thing that I couldn’t quite get my head around, why did Ponting call the boys in 2 runs short of asking India to chase 500 ? What was the point ? !!!

Anyway back to the post. I was looking for a beach cricket image and came across this awesome painting by Bill Linford in Australia. I hope you like it !!! If you like what you see then why not pop along to the “Without A Pier” gallery and check out his collection courtesy of a slideshow.

He has put together w superb collection and the sports cover range from bowls (green and outback!), cricket and lifesaving! If you do have a spare few minute it will certainly be worth a visit. Hope you enjoy !
